Amaryllis by Shinedown

It's been a while since we have had a great deal on a new rock album that is heavier hitting that most of the pop that is being produced.  Amaryllis by Shinedown is the fourth studio album and features the hard driving riffs and beats that you would expect from an American Rock Band and while not marked Explicit, you can tell from the samples that the language on some of the tracks is as hard as the music. For this reason, I chose to pass on this deal.  If you care about adult language in music and like a slightly heavier rock, you can download the whole album for just $0.99.

Phish Albums $2.99 - $4.99

This week Amazon is featuring the band Phish and has marked down more than 40 of their albums.  Any fan of Phish will tell you that their studio albums are not the best way to hear Phish.  Luckily, 2/3 of the recordings on the list are of their live performances and even if there are overlapping song selections, each performance is unique which has long been the main trademark of Phish.  Many of the albums are comprised of $0.50 tracks if you would rather create your own Phish collection.

Prices were $2.99 - $4.99 or $0.50 / track at time of posting but are subject to change. Verify current prices on Amazon.

Another one of Amazon's amazing deals today features the best of one of music's greatest, Phil Collins.  Hits... contains 16 of Phil's best from the 80's and 90's including  In The Air Tonight, Take Me Home, I Wish It Would Rain Down, Sussudio along with a number of his more adult contemporary works such as Another Day In Paradise, One More Night, True Colors, and Two Hearts.  This is a must have collection for any children of the 80's and early 90's and today can be downloaded for just $0.99!

Carry Me Back by Old Crow Medicine Show

Carry Me Back is the latest album from Old Crow Medicine Show and it is quite an entertaining album at that that one listener referred to as Alternative Bluegrass Americana. There is something nice about listening to the sound of a band featuring fiddles, mandolins, guitars and a bass that makes you think of a good old-fashioned hoe down.  Take a listen to the samples and you'll quickly see that Old Crow Medicine Show is back after a short hiatus and they didn't miss a step.

Temporary Home of MP3 Planet

I have been posting at least a deal a day for the past two years and if I recall correctly, did not miss a day.  But apparently, some people have too much time on their hands and forced their way into the site for malicious purposes.  While I had believed that I resolved the initial issue, the host provider saw otherwise and suspended my account.

I apologize for any visitor that was not able to access the site and in the meantime, I have set up this temporary site to list some of the best current deals.  We hope you will still visit us while we try to clean up the mess and get the old site back.  One way or another, we will move forward and do our best to bring you the great deals on MP3 albums from around the web, who are we kidding, pretty much they are the great deals on Amazon since Amazon seems to have the best deals.
